I see all advice and experience offered as a potential opportunity to learn something else - even if it might only be a confirmation of what I thought I already knew, or an alternative perspective on a common matter....
Popular Post crafty1
Just updating this thread, so far in 2 years ownership I've used OEM pads ( came with the car), EBC yellow stuff and most recently Brembo sport. As mentioned before do not waste your money on the EBC pads. The Brembo sport pads are probably fine for the road only but I noticed after 2 tracks days and about 3,000 miles the brakes didn't feel great so removed them to find they already well past their best and starting to crumble, also not much pad left so again I won't be bothering with them. Finally bit the bullet and gone Pagid RSL29 yellows all round, not cheap but in theory they last. Fitted them this weekend and bedding them in, they are very good, good bite with great modulation but as per many others comments they can make some noise but this maybe due to not being fully bedded in yet. Will update after 1st track day. 1
crafty1
Thought I would update on the Pagid RSL29 pads. Unsurprisingly for the track they are the best I have tried, lap after lap good bite and zero fade, I always do a cooling down lap and so far no cracks in the standard disks, so all good. However as many have said before, wow are they noisy, my car is weekend and track day only but I cannot live with these on the road so bought a full set of textars for road use and will swap rs29's for track use only.
