So sometimes these packages slip-through without attracting duty Jason. And when they do get stopped and the VAT and 5% Import Tax are applied - its Random to say the least ! Also to mention if they do get stopped and attract customs fee's - there will also undoubtedly be a £9 "Release fee" from ParcelForce this end ontop. My Dads just had two from the USA arrive with him in the last week; with value's in the hundreds - and both came through fee free I suspect that's a sign of UK customs current workload and lack of staff. I propose we ask Marcos to indicate the package value at <£27 to avoid import duties. If it gets randomly opened it’s 10no plastic pieces that could quite feasibly ‘Only’ have a value of ~£2.50 each to the eyes of a customs inspector. Grilles printed and shipped to U.K. $140.99 => £114.40 £114.40 / 10 £11.44 U.K. Packaging: Padded ‘large letter size’ envelope @ £1 U.K. Postage: Large letter first class recorded delivery @ £2.45 Sub total: £14.89 Total (I’ve rounded up by 11p each to cover my £1 parking in town to get to the post office and because I hate odd numbers!) = £15. I will PM each of you my PayPal account details - please respond to my message with your name and address details. Once I’ve received all payments I will send the money to Marcos and he will be able to despatch the grilles 👍🏻 If we do incur any kind of import duties then I will come back to the group buyers to ask us each to split that cost pro-rata between the 10 of us before I send out the grilles in the U.K. Hope that’s acceptable to everyone.
