To be fair he did not charge as was doing my fluid change any way, he has worked for the main Porsche deal for a lot of years before starting on his own last March and said he has not had to do before but everyday is a learning day

Popular Post Ben
Had the new MC fitted last week, along with new rear discs/pads (and handbrake shoes, which seem to have disintegrated somehow). Straight away could feel that the 'dead zone' in the pedal travel had been removed. Now have much better braking feel - It just inspires more confidence in the brakes, to me anyway. And yes, despite me giving the garage plenty of prior info on the ABS activation issue, and them being very confident it wouldn't be a problem, they then had to take it to another garage to use their diagnostic kit to properly bleed the unit 😁 1
Popular Post Liongolfer
Finally got my GT3 MC working.. A big shout out to AndyGo for the tips.. showed it to my mech and its good now. Pedal travel is a lot less and much more assuring. 3

Andyoz
Also, has anyone experienced PSM warning lights - I am getting some references to that but seems to be more centered around 996 owners fitting the 997GT3 MC.
Aaron
I've had the master cylinder for ~5 years and have never experienced any PSM errors. I suspect you have a problem elsewhere - likely ABS sensors.

Like Aaron, I've done multiple track days and about 10k miles since fitting mine and I have never had any issues.
Windymiller
I had my GT3 MC fitted in 2019 and no issues with any warning lights or operation. 6k miles pa and 5-6 track days pa too. Do it, it’s a great break performance mod and makes heel n toe easier too as it seems to raise the pedal point at which brake bite occurs, thus better aligning the brake pedal level with the throttle pedal. Get it done! I cannot understand what Porsche were thinking about not fitting one. Maybe the only explanation is that with the smaller, standard M/C they saved a bit on brake fluid. Liongolfer
Echo the several opinions to just do it! Took my mech a while to get it done but wow, what a difference in feel, pedal travel and confidence.
