:welcome:

I was new to the world of Porsche last November. Mine's a 2014 981 2.7, PDK, from Porsche Reading, original reg. RE14... as I see yours is too.

How long have you had it, and what did you have before? How does it compare? What's the rest of your spec?

I went for a blast today down country roads. What a great chassis, engine, and gearbox. Loving it!

Hi!

Love those wheels!  Get some Moggy!

Don't think they'll fit?

Here's a thread which may help, albeit a 987.2: http://www.planet-9.com/porsche-tires-and-wheels/95292-981-20-carrera-s-iii-wheels-my-987-2-a.html

I wish! Even my missus would notice those turning up. I dont think I would go larger than 19s anyway

Didnt realise they were 20s. Interesting thread though

@Madmoggy The new spyder wheels won't fit probably, but the genII spyder wheels which are very similar might...($$$ though)

Much as I'd like some fancier wheels there are also other things I'd like which are less likely to end up with my personal parts in a jar above the fire :)
If I do change it will be to 19s, not 20s, and you're not wrong about the $$$s either, seen some for silly money

I've had for less than 3 weeks and I've still got an inane smile on my face. Yeah its from Reading via Birmingham.

Last car was a Audi TT and the Cayman is so much better and so many ways.

Spec is:-

2014 PDK 2.7 in Agate grey

Seem to spend all my driving days looking for some interesting twister roads. Not too many where I am.

A tidy looking example!

....and of course, the best wheels ever B|

The front end of the Cayman, Must feel amazing compared to your old motor!

They it's a different world. So much more precise.

Of to Silverstone on Tuesday on a Porsche experience so hoping to get some tips on how to really enjoy it :)

It really is amazing there! They really let you push the cars and will teach you new things if you wish.

Enjoy Thursday and report back how you got on :)

Hi folks, sorry it's taken so long to get back.

The Porsche experience was great.

I arrived early and after introductions and climbing into a similar base Cayman to mine, I was allowed to drive out on to a quiet track.

The site has three tracks

1) resembles a B road

2) a more challenging track with tight twists and turns and

3) a figure of eight track which is used to hone braking and balance while cornering.

The track also had some fiendish trick sections 1) ice hill 2) kick plate and 3) low grip section

You can your pick you track cars from a range of lovely machines GT4, 911 etc

Total driving time was close to 1:20 mins.

Great fun and highly recommended. Amazing!
