wtaite01
Many seem to advocate for the Pagid yellows on the track (RSL29), I have been considering taking the plunge, but they aren't cheap, that's for sure! (c. £500 to have them on all 4 corners). Just switching to fresh Motul RBF600 and replacing my rear discs and pads (OE spec brembos) gave me a lot more confidence that I wasn't going to boil the fluid or see any catastrophic brake failure on track though. Aaron
Sorry gents, thought I'd replied to these! On 10/09/2021 at 11:59, andygo said: Try the DS3000 pads. If you look at the ferodo comparison graph info ( https://www.ferodoracing.com/products/car-racing/racing-brake-pads/ ) they have a much better heat range. They work when stongingly hot - my wheel centre caps melted. They were copies, but even so.. I had run DS3000 on my RX-7 before but they were noisey like the DS1.11 and also tempramental when cold. Having used DS2500 on a few cars in the past, they are quite appealing, but the cost is excessive compared to a stock pad. The only real benefit is that there won't be a long bedding process when swapping between the DS1.11 for track. The Pagid RS were just more than I was willing to spend. I got the DS1.11 pads, new rear pins, braided hoses, and new bleed nipples for a touch less than the RS pads alone.
