This looks a really nice one with work done even though it's low miles. Has everything except extended leather.

that private sale one has now sold. if I remember what it was, I swear it was this, now for sale from dealer with less glossy pics.

This one, on the other hand, looks the opposite. I almost bought a BE with 36k for £27.5k in August but withdrew only because of a last minute change of heart on an automatic. Or maybe I'm a bit behind the times on the market now?

Interesting dog guard behind the seats….

shame the advert lists it incorrectly (as a 981…. 🙄🤷‍♂️)

personally I don’t think turbo wheels suit the 987 🤔

and a non OE head unit (which will no doubt at least have better maps than the PCM unit 😉👍🏻)

Someone looks like they got a good deal here: https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2012-porsche-987-cayman-r-1

High mileage for an R, but spec is ideal (to me!), and had an engine replacement at 60K miles.

Rather wish I'd seen it earlier 😅

Wow. That seems like a good price, even with the buyer's fee.

There was discussion on it in it the PH R thread, most felt it was the right price, but I still am amazed the sale price didn't start with a 4 despite Collecting Cars fees on top.

I'm not so in-tune with the market now, even less so for Rs but S prices still seem to be on the rise. I assume that £50k Rs are still few and far between?

They seem thin on the ground now at that price. Good S's seem % wise to be on a higher trajectory than the R i would say. I think we'll see low mileage S's with all the trimmings at £35K this year.

R values have been a bit odd in that they haven’t appreciated at the same rate in the last couple of years as other more ‘vanilla’ models have.  I bought an R in 2014 and paid mid 40s, sold it in 2017 for mid-40s and currently you’ll pay, you guessed it, mid-40s for a decent (manual, buckets bla bla bla) car.

A nice rare colour Amethyst Metallic Gen2 2.9. I bet in real life (as the pics don't show the colour popping in sunlight) it looks great. its got the extended Leather seats, rather than the silver backed ones. Matching center tunnel painted. Its quite a nice 2.9 I'd say

Cool colour. If I’d done any research prior to buying mine, it has THE important option of PSE as well, that’s something I’d make sure any other future Porsche has

Yes, it's very strange. If you look at 997.2 GTS values (era equivalent model 911 to the R) the prices are mental. Looks at this recent CC one..£76k incl fees....that's GT3 money and it's not even Red....someone got carried away :)

If you can cope with a Cat N, repaired by Porsche, there is a Black Edition (with Turbo wheels) on FB marketplace for £21k.

That's an interesting one. The devil is in the detail I guess.
