Rare to see (when they add the pics) a black Sport S, don't think I have ever seen one in black.

The black looks kinda cool with the black Cayman S script. Interestingly priced, I think £25k might be realistic.

How about this if stretching the budget a little:

It is nice, as all R's are, but that one has been on sale now for close to 2 years. It was with a previous dealer for ages and then appeared with this dealer and its lacking in the holy grail spec.

Mine is black but I think black is not a popular a colour on the R for most folk. But it is nice, if the price was right it would have sold so it is no doubt overpriced considering its low spec.

If anyone is after a real 'R' bargain, this one has been hanging around for a similar amount of time. A canny serious offer could take it for a very good price. High miles, and spec is about the worst I've seen on an R, but an excellent track focussed spec could be had for around £5-8K spend (very dependent on how much you're willing/able to DIY):

+ Sport button/software retrofit (as it's PDK, wouldn't bother for a manual)

+ PSE (nice to have, though not important for performance)

+ Aftermarket buckets, Recaro pole positions are nice

+ Lighter wheels, I like OZ Alleggeritas

Now if you insisted on OEM Porsche buckets and Spyder wheels, this would quickly become uneconomical compared to the other options out there (likely >£10K in parts between them if new).

Sadly I'm not in a position to take a punt!

Far too expensive for what it is.  If it was 7k cheaper, I would take a punt as you can retrofit chrono, but that still leaves you with an undesirable car if you ever want to resell.

Thanks for the heads up. Don't think I was in much danger of going for it, but it might help others here to avoid (or build this into any offer).

perhaps trying hard to be something it isn't, yep the upgrades are sympathetic. Nice car that if PDK is your preference.

That's incorrect, from 2011 Porsche offered the R pack on the S. Infact mine came with the R wheels, R wing, R mirrors, R front splitters, painted central console, and R interior trim.

These are quite rare factory spec'd cars and not necessary trying to be something they are not 👍

ah I see, very interesting. All the more reason then that that one is a rather special one then. Thank you for correcting me.

A nice rare colour Amethyst Metallic Gen2 2.9. I bet in real life (as the pics don't show the colour popping in sunlight) it looks great. its got the extended Leather seats, rather than the silver backed ones. Matching center tunnel painted. Its quite a nice 2.9 I'd say

just noticed they have taken new photos in sunlight to show the colour better now. Looks lovely in my opinion. Rare colour. whats not to like!

He really does! I got my CS from him and it was the easiest and stress free sale I've had.

Even the warranty he offers follows the same theme,  easy.

Replaced my coils at my local indy and he just dealt with them directly.
