I understand mark up but 33% is a bit much Exactly. They do take the proverbial. It's not as though mine is a shed, its pretty mint tbh.
Neil_jdmr
Just out interest what are porsche offering against a gts? If your going to pay 20k more for so little extra is it not worth investing in your car. You can make a major weapon for that sort of purse. 991 3.8 conversion, brakes, etc
andygo
My car is a 2013 so I was looking at something newer, the one i'm thinking of is 2016. A gts should depreciate less, which at a higher price point comes into play more. I appreciate my car can be upgraded, but again, when you come to sell, smaller market place and also the ROI comes into pay IMHO. If only life was simple... andygo
I thought I had done the deal for mine with the one at Porsche Burgess Hill. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202207127689863?make=Porsche&model=Cayman&transmission=Automatic&sort=relevance&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=Used&aggregatedTrim=981 GTS&postcode=mk58ag&include-delivery-option=on&radius=200&price-to=55000&advertising-location=at_cars&page=2 Sales guy was going to get it signed off by the business manager and call me back last night or early morning. Called them this morning to be told they had had a deposit come in overnight online and therefore was sold. I'm pretty narked as it had a great spec... In answer to your post above Neil, thanks for taking an interest, appreciated. I'm all over trader and PH, but have a dislike of white cars.. andygo
The Burgess Hill Porsche garage called me back this morning to say their deal has fallen through, would I still like to go ahead. I have just put a deposit down on it and signed the order form at the price I wanted for my trusty 981 S, although I do think that if they are giving me £30k for it, it must be worth a fair bit more. Make me an offer if you want a bargain 981 S! The advert of Autotrader has been removed, put when I get some pix, I'll share.

Neil_jdmr
I read that and thought what the hell must a less than 10yr old car have been through to require a top to bottom resto. Nice car btw but the description lays it on a bit thick. The owner has clearly spent money too keep it looking lovely.
Neil_jdmr
Two nice examples in Harbour cars atm both under 40k and under 40k miles. Guards and Rhodium. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202209209935205 Goes to show how the market has softened a little as both of these would have been north of 40k 18 months ago when i bought mine.
Neil_jdmr
See those Harbour cars 981s didn't hang about. Nevermind though here's another, decent price and a lovely colour, platinum silver isn't often seen. Usual rhodium or GT https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202209169823370?advertising-location=at_cars&postcode=Ne233yx&model=Cayman&sort=datedesc&page=1&aggregatedTrim=981 S&make=Porsche&year-to=2022&include-delivery-option=on&percentVehiclePriceDeposit=true

Fair price considering the year and spec. Miles a bit high but in the current market its pretty good. Well specd 981s have held price amazingly well probably better than gts cars recently. Poor spec cars have dropped in line with current 718 base
