Popular Post Stokepotter
Hi guys, soon to be new owner, next Saturday 4th June and can't wait. Used to have a 911 and more recently, a GT86, great looking car but sadly lacking in the power dept so back to Porsche it is.

Stokepotter
Yeah, I told current owner to take it off for me after embarrassingly asking who had put it on only for him to say "me." ?

Stokepotter
It's a 12 plate and in over 30 years of driving will be my first automatic but I guess pdk is as good a place to start as anywhere! Quite good on the options front with sport plus chrono, sport steering wheel with paddle shifters, sport seats, 19" s alloys, sat nav, am sure one or two other things just can't remember right now. DJMC
You've gone quiet? Still out driving it? How are you finding the "automatic"?
Stokepotter
Hi guys, still finding my way around her but what can I say, sensational machine. Loving the automatic although still having to remember or think at junctions that my left leg now does nothing. Only annoyance really is that the 12v plugs stay live even when keys removed meaning I've got to come up with a work around for my dashcam and dab module. Am currently comparing 4 year major Service prices, my local opc, Wilmslow and all of them I guess, were competitive at £475 until they announce that does not include spark plugs and quote £375 on top! There is a local vag specialist who I used to take my 996 to who are about the same price as the opc fixed price but they include the plugs so think will use them again. PSI Tuning in Stoke if anyone locally wants a competitive quote for servicing etc.
Uncle Dave
I think that dashcam/12v socket issue has been discussed on here recently...might help
Stokepotter
Yeah cheers Dave, I have seen that, one or two peeps have gone the "hard wired" route. Don't think I'm going to go that way, I've bought what amounts to a cigarette lighter plug with a on off switch so am going to connect that to my existing two way plug to which my appliances will be plugged into and hidden out of the way and then simply switch on and off at the plug. All good assuming I remember!
mr pg
I thought the 12v points only stay live for 30 mins are switching off. That's why I can't connect my ctek charger through this way.
Stokepotter
Yes I read that someone had set that but afraid not on mine and the handbook confirms that. Must be different dependent on model year, mines a 2012.
