Bye Bye

Well not literally, but unfortunately the time has come to say goodbye to Carmen the Cayman. After being stung with a couple of big bills and the recent minor showing up another 2k worth of work required I decided she had to go. That and I have been keeping an eye on her oil consumption and recently I have been putting a litre in for around 600 miles I decided I don't want the cost. Tyres are 3mm all round and she is nearly at 60k miles in the original AOS, original clutch, water pump is making a whiney noise I just didn't want to plough more money into what is a 10 year old car. To that end I traded it in for a brand new m135i with every option ticked. Pre reg with 4 miles on the clock for £29k.

I know now I might regret it but the thought of a rebuild and the increased rate of high bills has led me to starting to worry about it.

Oh oh and I will have a full set of zunsport front x3  and rear grills x2 for sale if anybody is interested. The front centre one has never even been fitted.

Ahh man!  Already :(

Shame you've been hit by so many big bills so early on into ownership, they do require money to keep them going these cars sometimes but still I've never had it quite that bad.

Well, you'll have to bring the new car along to the next meet so we can decide that it's clearly not as good as a Cayman...and then you leave us all for dust ;)

Yeah I am gutted. The wife has just quit working offshore, yeah quite when everybody else is getting laid off. That's meant a loss of about £40k a year on our income. She going to run a turbine at a power station now. God help us. The women may be head hunted to run oil and gas rigs because she was one of the best at

it but electricity is not her forte.

Anyway guys  I will keep on the forum and will make it to meets if you can tolerate a common old BMW turning up.

Oh and just for something to drool out. This was parked next to mine awaiting collection one of only 30, with a cool price tag of £128k BMW M4 GTS
