As you all may know, some of us Porsche people are just nerdy, so I've set about to find all 2011 (12 in N. America) Black Editions and where they are located. Some of you may also know that in 2012, somewhere around 1600 total Caymans were sold world-wide and hence, my guess is most of the BE's were sold in Europe in model year 2011. It is a PDK with sport-chrono but (alas) no PASM. It has just turned 47k miles. It is my everyday car, and I use a set of black-painted 18-inch Cayman wheels with Michelin PS2 (N4) to make the ride and noise tolerable. I have the original 19s stored away, ready and waiting for the day that all of the potholes are filled in :-). Although my car is very well looked-after (FPSH), it gets used for all sorts; carrying pictures and display stands to art events and carrying logs home for the woodburner. I have just arrived home after a fantastic 3-hour drive from Kelso in the south-east of Scotland, taking B-roads over the high ground. Even on rough surfaces, it may be uncomfortable but it is never skitterish, and it handling just cannot be faulted. Night driving is fantastic with the bi-xenons that are directed to follow the steering. For me, this is Porsche No 6, since my first 944 in 1991. I will send more photos if anyone is interested.
