Popular Post Nifty
This isn't so technical but could be important. You have drains in the cowl that allow water to escape and flow off. Mine had 4. Two near the battery. I noticed my floor mat was wet on day and long story....traced the source to two clogged drains. The trick is how to clean them. What I ended up doing was taking some weed eater chord, and feeding it down the drain. Once is appeared under the car, I tied a little knot and pulled the knotted end through. All this gunk came out. Drain clean! PhilCS
Thats interesting, I never knew that. Do you have to remove the battery to get to the drain holes? I've heard of the Boxster guys cleaning their drain holes with Trombone Cleaners!

I dont recall pulling the battery the first time I did though.
DJMC
Noticed this on my son's mini yesterday - pooling in front of windshield. Picked up a thin twig. Stuck it in the drain hole. SLURRP! Water gone! For now...

I'm going to give this a go this weekend I think, I was actually planning a new battery at some point so could all of it at the same time.
