  1. Hi, I've got flaky silver paint on the inside of my gen2 tail light. As much as I'd like a new LED set I can't justify £700 at the moment so it looks like I'm going to have to refurb the unit. It looks like to respray it I will have to break the glued joint between the outer clear plastic and the black main housing. Has anyone ever opened up their tail light like this? Cheers
  2. GlosRich, could you visibly see that your old bushing was worn while it was connected in place? Was it obviously compressed? Thanks,
  3. I'm getting progressively more knocking/rattling over bumps from my offside front suspension. I took my car into my local Indy and he thought it was a slight chance it was the control arm but more than likely an issue with the complete PASM shock absorber. Obviously there's a big difference in cost to correct these possible problems. Has anyone ever had to replace a PASM shock and if so what was the fault with it? Was there any looseness/play in it? Cheers
  4. Thanks, that puts my mind at rest. What I would say is that, at least in my case, it is not caused by any signal delay. It feels like the gradual feeding in of the torque onto the clutch which I guess is quite significant when pulling away from standstill.
  5. Hi, I'm a relatively new owner of a 987.2 Cayman S with PDK. I've always noticed that on pulling away from standstill I feel a short wobble/vibration as the first gear engages for about 1/2 second. Is this normal? I do not notice the effect between any other gear changes. Should I expect a clean immediate engagement as I would get on other dual clutch auto's (VW DSG) I have driven? Cheers.
  6. Yes, basically I'm asking, would PDK owners miss their Sport Chrono modes if they didn't have it.
  7. I've been looking for a 987.2 Cayman S for a while now and I've seen a nice one with lots of good options but most notably it's a PDK with PASM but without Sport Chrono. Now I've been in Caymans and experienced Sport Chrono modes and as much as I'm sure I wouldn't use the modes all the time I'm pretty sure I would use them occasionally for a bit of fun. So my question is, other than using the manual shift buttons or stick, how much does the normal PDK box automatically change it's gear shift points with spirited driving? Or more simply put, can I replicate anything like the SC mode without it?
