  1. Thanks for the replies - sorry I hadn't come back to this sooner. 4mm is helpful, thanks. It does seem odd that the sides are fine but the front is not. I will take it over to somewhere with a bit more space and take the whole thing off and re-set it. Bigger things in the world to worry about but it does drive my OCD slightly nuts! :-) Thanks all.
  2. Thanks for posting these. I have gone off Harris a bit these days but since these articles go along with my confirmation bias I would say this is an excellent bit of writing. :-)
  3. Hi all, I've noticed the front bumper on my 987.1 S has dropped slightly. From a couple of metres away it is not noticeable but the closer you get you can see it is quite far out. I don't have a huge amount of space in the garage or out front so want to avoid taking the bumper off entirely if possible. I am wondering if anyone has any tips on how to adjust it? The two sides by the indicators meet up perfectly, but its as if the front has just tipped forward slightly. I should add, I have already tried removing the retaining clips beside the headlights and the 3 torx screws by the bonnet latch and given it a wiggle but it made no difference. Thank you in advance.
  4. I am glad you got it sorted and hopefully it didn't cost you too much. Just to be sure, is your car an S? Maybe it's the angle but the exhaust looks like the 2.7 pipe. Be interesting to know if the 2.7 suffered with bore score.
  5. Thank you for your reply. It is my intention to get some bucket seats when I get a chance to try a few out so will definitely be back in touch when I have chosen my seat.
  6. Hi. Thank you for your reply. Are they for side mounts? How much lower than standard do you think they are?
  7. Hi all, I have the sports seats with the manual height, fore/aft adjustment (electric tilt). I was wondering if anyone has managed to get a seat/frame combo to get the seat any lower to the floor? I'm 6'4 and have a long torso so whilst I do have enough head room, I would like to lower down a couple of inches just so I am completely ensconced. I have had a chat to my local Indy and GSM seating and they both think you can't get any lower than the standard set up! Surely this can't be true? I would assume fitting a bucket seat with side mounts would lower it further but I've had a look on various forums and cannot see any reference to it actually lowering the seating height. Obviously I don't want to spend out if I won't really gain anything. Does anyone know if there is a solution? Thanks in advance.
