Reviving and old thread here. When I find myself a Gen2 I will definitely be lowering the car. Is there any issue doing this with Pasm equipped cars?? Cheers Matt

So rapidly approaching a year into ownership and still loving the car. Not much that I have a desire to change as I was quite lucky with the spec. The one thing I didn’t realise until a few weeks into ownership & clearly a gap in my pre buying research is that PASM equipped cars sit 10mm lower. Mine doesn’t have PASM, is on 19” Carrera S II alloys but don’t like the gaps round the wheel arches. PASM equipped cars sit better & I love how the R sits. I don’t have a big budget for this which rules out B16 PSS9’s or other coil overs so leaning more towards springs only. H&R, Eibach. I’m doing it more for cosmetics so doesn’t need to be track focused and also keen for it not to look too low as I don’t want it to appear modified. The image below shows how obvious the gap is (to me at least) I would be grateful if anyone has any experience of the springs I’ve mentioned or can recommend where to get the work done and the geometry reset post lowering or rough cost for the work. Still under Porsche warranty, so may wait. Loving everying else about the car Thanks in advance. Nik

I am selling my 2010 Cayman S Only as I need the extra seats for the kids. Car is 2010 S PDK with the following options. PDK, Sports Chrono Plus, 19” Carrera 2 alloys, cruise control, Bi xenon headlights, Nav (7 fig post codes) colour wheel Center’s, Porsche crests on head rests and center console, Porsche warranty until April 19, Mot until April 19 mileage is 40k and full Porsche service history. £28,000 or open to reasonable offers The car car is immaculate and has been cherished & well looked after, it will be missed ? Please note plate not included. I would far rather see it go to a good home and someone else get enjoyment from it and take advantage of remaining warranty than trade it in. Happy to answer any questions and provide additional pictures if necessary.

Bit of trouble with this. Bought it but after taking it to RP for addition of cruise control turns out there was a whole slew of underlying issues that needed correcting. Three weeks later and it is back! RP has waxed and polished it which is why it looks so good. Given I will be doing 700 miles per week in this, it won't remain in this condition for long. Stock white Cayman 987.2. My girlfriend has named it the ChavWagon, partly because she doesn't like the writing down the side and partly because since I decided on getting one she now sees them everywhere. IE, we went shopping and someone parked theirs next to mine:-) My feeling is that the white is a little light on the black. The rear wing is black, the roof is black and the intakes are, as is the logo down the side. I am torn between black canards at the front, a black splitter or a black vent where the bonnet meets the bumper.

Since I have been running in near silence (ie no radio) I have been learning the noises of my car but there appears to be a sound that is dependent on wheel speed and seems to be coming from over my left shoulder. It sound like something rubbing and the closest I can imagine is when I am working on the axle of my gokart and I can hear the brake blocks gently rub the disc. I can say that it is wheel dependent because the frequency of the noise rises and falls with the wheel speed and doesn't depend on gear (I put it in neutral on a downhill section to test this). The best I can think is the rear left brake disc. Can anyone who knows Caymans better suggest alternatives and how to check these hypotheses?

Chaps, I'm stumbling around trying to fix something... Can you help? I'm popping over to Le Mans for the 24 hours in a couple of weeks. So in preparation I was checking out how to switch my lights over from Normal to travel mode (Left to Right hand Road driving). The manual says that there is a switch inside the Headlight module with a T/O next to it - apparently you just switch it over and it works... So that's the theory. In practice, I can't find the bloody switch... Took my clusters out (oooher!), took that back off, and no switch could be found. I've got a 987.2 with PDLS (bi-xenon), so maybe that's the issue... What am I looking for? Oh lordy... The 5 minute job now takes 24 hours. Your help would be much appreciated! Banger
