  1. I am having trouble finding any racks for snowboards, skis, and other luggage. Have any of found any options?
  2. DOES ANYONE THINK THAT MAYBE JUST MAYBE THE CAYMAN WOULD LOOK A TOUCH BETTER (HARD TO IMPROVE REALLY) WITH A SHORTER FRONT AND REAR ???
  3. Hello all, I've been pretty quiet on here but I thought I'd share some pics of my Cayman after washing and drying it yesterday (11th Nov)... The car is relatively standard, I've added an "R" inspired side stripe, a CarGraphic cat-back exhaust, SSK, black intake grilles and some headlight bulbs. I also had a full correction detail earlier in the year which makes the task of cleaning so much more rewarding. Photo's taken using my Nikon DS3200 DSLR with 18-40mm & 35 Nikor lenses. Cheers, Greg.
  4. came across a song about a cayman ? seems decent song
  5. hi guess this is a common topic but are N rated tyres really needed ? I know if your blasting the nurburger you might want them but for everyday below 70mph do you really need N rated ? I have seen cars for sale without etc
  6. Dears, I am new to the forum and Caymans. I would appreciate feedback from you experienced Cayman owners. I found a 2008 automatic base model that sells for 11k$, it's done 60,000 miles. I am reading mixed reviews about the reliability of these cars, some say 2008 models don't suffer much from the IMS bearing issue, but the thing is here is quite hot most of the year so I wonder how that has affected the car. I think Porsche Caymans have the best handling which what I am looking for, and there are not much available used Cayman's in the market here.... I appreciate your advice! thanks.

  9. Just been to see a nice Cayman S, 07 plate with 67k. its been looked after, the bodywork and interior is perfect, 12 months mot and regularly serviced. i noticed a bit of white smoke on start up for a few minutes, then it stopped and ran well. should I be concerned or is that normal? asking price is 15,750, high or ok? thanks and hoping for advice.
  10. I have been having an annoying little chirp in the boot of the car. It doesn't happen straight away, normally after a few miles but once its starts it chirps after every imperfection in the road. it sounds like a lose nut or washer knocking, but i cant seem to find it. It seems to originate from the rear speaker or in that area. I have tried tightening the B pillar but it still persist. Anyone have any suggestions
  11. Hi all, I’m a writer at CAR magazine, and we’re currently in search of a 2012-on 981 Cayman owner to join us for the day for a feature, taking place on 21 July. The feature will be taking place in the Cambridgeshire/Northampton area. We don't need to drive your car but we would like to photograph you with it, and, most importantly, get you to drive another Quite Interesting car on the day and interview you about your thoughts on it. Apologies if this sounds a bit cryptic, but if you'd be interested in helping us, please drop me a line at james.taylor@bauermedia.co.uk and I'll explain all! Many thanks, James
  12. Chaps, I'm stumbling around trying to fix something... Can you help? I'm popping over to Le Mans for the 24 hours in a couple of weeks. So in preparation I was checking out how to switch my lights over from Normal to travel mode (Left to Right hand Road driving). The manual says that there is a switch inside the Headlight module with a T/O next to it - apparently you just switch it over and it works... So that's the theory. In practice, I can't find the bloody switch... Took my clusters out (oooher!), took that back off, and no switch could be found. I've got a 987.2 with PDLS (bi-xenon), so maybe that's the issue... What am I looking for? Oh lordy... The 5 minute job now takes 24 hours. Your help would be much appreciated! Banger
