Fitted dash cam at weekend. Blackvue  model 650S 1channel forward facing. Great looking and quality unit, easy setup and cabling to the 12v power socket under glove compartment which stays live for 30 minutes after parking and switching ignition off. Gives added security and it switches to parking mode security watch, great if you are leaving car for a short period, without having to buy additional battery unit, draining battery or hard wiring which is not supported by  Porsche warranty cover. Checked with my dealer Porsche of Silverstone. 

 

Wifi enabled with voice, camera  lets you access, view  and save videos on  iPhone. Can be iCloud enabled so that you can remotely download videos and check GPS position of car from anywhere, without removing micro SD card.

 

So far so good, all set now to record my planned summer road trip around Scotland's equivalent of Route 66, The North Coast 500 starting and finishing Inverness. Looking forward to navigating the Applecross pass with its accent and hair pin bends.
