Stutopia
Due to an unavoidable change in my working arrangements, I have for sale my much loved 981 Cayman GTS (2014). It has covered just under 51,000 miles - rising slowly with occasional use. It has the superb PDK box and the usual GTS refinements; alcantara and leather-clad black interior and roof lining, Sport Chrono pack and switchable Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE). The PSE has been replaced in the last year (the valves on the original one seized) with a new genuine Porsche system. It comes equipped with the X73 Sports Chassis option, with no PASM. Instead, you get a 20mm ride height drop which improves the handling and makes it sit and ride beautifully on the 20” rims. Conveniently, it still has clearance for speed bumps and ramps. It is also equipped with the optional Limited Slip Differential. The car was not originally specified with Cruise Control, but I have had this retrofitted by Porsche Sheffield, for easy motorway driving. Being a Jet Black car, it can be hard to keep the paint looking it’s best, but in my ownership it is has been for a two-stage paint correction and full ceramic coating; it looks superb, is protected, and is extremely easy to keep clean. The ceramic protection was also applied to the callipers and wheels. As well as the professional detailing, I am a hobby detailer and the exterior is regularly washed & protected, the interior is kept spotless. The car has been driven, so does have some stone chips. The weakest link is the wheels, which are undamaged and presentable, but would benefit from a refurb to make them spotless and deal with some small bits of failing lacquer. The car is pictured with all-weather mats, which are durable and easy to keep clean, but also comes with the more luxurious soft carpet ones too. The photos also show the aftermarket ducktail spoiler, which is a simple, yet beautiful, bolt-on change. The original spoiler is included and can be switched back to OEM in a few minutes. It also has a front Zunsport grille set, which I fitted to prevent road debris being trapped against, and damaging, the radiators. As well as the functional and aesthetic benefit, they can be reversed completely, if so desired. I have also added a genuine Porsche front boot liner, which is solid and protects the carpet from wear and spills. On the maintenance front, it has been fully serviced by Porsche and specialists, with no expense spared. There is a large folder of history available, I like to keep all receipts for work done. On the last major service (May 2022) it all the usual filter and fluid changes, plus replacement PDK fluid, new spark plugs and drive belt. It has also had the rear/side axle carrier mandatory safety recall completed by Porsche Sheffield. It currently sits on Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres (N rated), which are marked improvement over the original Pirellis. The MOT has just been refreshed and is good until September 2023. Overall, the car is in superb condition and looks and drives exactly as it should. I have used it as a daily and as a GT, road tripping around Scotland, England, and Wales. It is a fabulous place to sit, and every journey feels special. It’s never once caused me any problems and the only reason I am selling is due to work. This is a gorgeous car, in the perfect spec, that’s been truly loved and will be sorely missed. First to see (and hear) will find it very hard to walk away from. Should you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Given the spec, condition and history of this car I am looking for offers of £42,500 or very close.
