360hp Porsche 718 Cayman & Boxster GTS are coming

       (0 reviews)
Title: 360hp Porsche 718 Cayman & Boxster GTS are coming

Porsche is currently finalising the new GTS models for the Cayman and Boxster. The 718 Boxster GTS and 718 Cayman GTS are expected to be officially unveiled later this year at the LA Motor Show on 1-10th December

Both the Cayman and Boxster GTS are powered by a tweaked version of the 2.5-litre, turbocharged, flat-four engine. The motor is expected to develop 360hp, representing an increase of about 15hp over the engine found in the current Cayman S and Boxster S.

Spy shots at the Nürburgring have spotted the cars being tested and sporting a new front bumper and twin central exhausts. Besides this, the GTS-spec models will also feature the traditional GTS refinements, including suspension upgrades with electronically controlled adaptive dampers and a slightly lowered ride height.  Along with the PASM, both cars will also likely to get the Sport Chrono package.

  • Cayman 987.2 200 cell Headers/Sport Cats: Carnewal vs Topgear

I'm in the market for 200 cell headers for my 987.2 (UK car) but I'm split between buying new Topgear 200 cell manifolds, or buying Carnewal exchange Sport cats. From my understanding for the Carnewal, the cost of the 200 cell cats and shipping is €1,420 + I pay an additional €1,000 which is refundable when I send my original cats to Carnewal as part of the exchange. €1,420 is approx. £1,245 at the moment. VS Topgear, which is £1,300 all in, but I'll still have my original cats which I ca

Seen a nice 981 for sale, add it in here

With the 987.2 thread becoming a good resourceful bit of reading i thought it worry starting a 981 one.    Seen a nice car for sale you think it's good value,  well specced or just something different add it here.    Always nice to discuss and what is one person's rubbish is another person's treasure.

    Tidy 987.2 for sale

Saw this in the CABO UK Facebook group just now and thought it looked a lot tidier than most at that price if there's anyone out there looking.

    Twin turbo 2.7 Cayman

My 2.7 is getting the TT treatment in the next few months. So I thought I'd start the post to document the install.  Popped it on the dyno yesterday to get a baseline.   If anyone has any upgrade suggestions they'd like to recommend I'd appreciate it.  I'm planning on a clutch upgrade but haven't started looking yet.  Also toying woth the idea of an aluminium flywheel.

For Sale - Cayman 981 GTS - PDK

Due to an unavoidable change in my working arrangements, I have for sale my much loved 981 Cayman GTS (2014). It has covered just 49,850 miles - rising slowly with occasional use. It has the superb PDK box and the usual GTS refinements; alcantara and leather-clad black interior and roof lining, Sport Chrono pack and switchable Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE). The PSE has been replaced in the last year (the valves on the original one seized) with a new genuine Porsche system.    It comes e

  • Porsche Myths Busted: Car Insurance & N-rated Tyres

There will be many eyes rolling at the title I'm sure and much has been written on many an internet forum on the topic of N-rated tyres.   But I'm not here to enter the murky depths of whether an N-rated tyre has a different rubber compound to it's non-rated equivalent, nor am I going to make any claims as to the performance differences and whether by not using N-rated tyres you will find yourself in a ditch one day.     Today, I'm focussing on something more specific, and answering th
