Car Detailing Products at The Piston Works

Title: Car Detailing Products at The Piston Works

Have you ever noticed that online shops selling car detailing products are rather a clinical affair, unusually aimed squarely at those more interested in the process than the vehicle itself.  Well, we're glad to say those days are gone, no longer does the petrolhead find themselves scratching their head wondering the difference between a citrus pre-cleaner and an all purpose cleaner or 'APC'.

Ladies and Gentleman, we introduce The Piston Works Emporium, a brick and mortar chain of stores and online shop dedicated to car detailing and car cleaning products chosen for their performance and practicality aimed squarely at car enthusiasts.  A carefully chosen collection of high quality car cleaning products and detailing brands with clear jargon free explanations of their use and application.

The Piston Works has chosen brands such as Bilt Hamber, ValetPRO, Chemical Guys and Nanolex that are well known for their no-nonsense approach to designing and producing award winning products.  Other brands have been introduced that build on their ethos of not stacking the shelves with white labeled products, but choosing UK brands aimed at making products that simply work and are a pleasure to use.  Brands such as Stjarnagloss and Angelwax

Because The Piston Works Emporium is a brick and mortar store, they are always on hand to speak to you in person.  A visit to the Emporium is a definite must, the comfortable fireside chairs and car related videos playing to entice you in before pursuing the shelves beautifully stocked with all of the car cleaning products clearly on display and accessible, be that accessories such as microfibre towels, wash mitts or polishing pads.  The guys at the Emporium will guide you through how to chose your products with your requirements in mind, whether you're a Porsche Cayman owner or indeed anything from a classic E-Type Jaguar to a brand new Ford Focus.  The Piston Works will ensure you're looked after and enjoy your experience, and one this is for sure, you certainly don't get the same level of service in Halfords!

Remember these guys next time you are stocking up on your Bilt Hamber Snow Foam, Angelwax H2GO or your ValetPRO Bilberry Wheel Cleaner

  • Looking to buy a 987.2 3.4S

Just signed up here and I’m just getting to grips with the forum.    I sold my Caterham today and would love to replace it with a 987.2 R, but alas my funds will not stretch that far. So I’m on the look out for a 987.2 S 3.4 2010/11 approx 50k miles, with as many options as possible. Ideally I’d like a manual but for the right car will accept a Pdk with paddles. Not a fan of red or black (no offence intended).  I live very close to brands so intend taking it there a few times a year.

    Cayman R Wanted - UK - Manual

I've the urge to move on from my 987.1S to an R.   Must be Manual but flexible on the rest of Spec. Not too fussy on mileage either...   If you're thinking of selling, please get in touch: andy.irwin@irwinacoustics.com

    Cayman R Car Cover

Hi both. Basically a really really good clean and detail and ceramic coating. With my circumstances of living in London, then I dont have access to a garage. With my previous car, a 944T, I found that a car cover (an expensive one from https://www.specialisedcovers.com/ ) actually did more harm than good to the paint work. With autumn/winter coming I figured rather than a car cover for the R, I would do ceramic coating. I am aware of the pros and cons, but for my circumstances, I'm giving the R

    B8s and Cayman R springs

I can't remember who asked but I said that I would share my thoughts once I had fitted the Cayman R springs and Bilstein B8s to my 987 2.7. So here goes...   First off it is worth me pointing out a few things: 1. My old springs/shocks had 100k on them and so probably aren't a great benchmark 2. At the same time as installing the shocks/springs, I changed all of the rear arms (with polybushed coffin arms to match the front) 3. I am yet to have the car properly aligned (th

Maybe moving on to a Convertible

Hi guys,   Maybe looking to sell my Cayman Gen2 2.9 and move on to a convertible, for those summer cruises.   I've enjoyed the Cayman, but realise I would like a convertible instead, so maybe a Boxster or an MX5.   Drop me a line if anyone is interested in buying it, its ready to be used in good condition, and is cheap for a Gen2.   Thanks   Rich

Welcome to Q2 of the Cayman Market Watch, our regular feature primarily to provide you with a view of pricing on the Porsche Cayman market.  Aimed at helping those selling or buying to make more informed decisions on price.     Cayman 718      The not so new 4 cylinder turbo car introduced in 2016 seems to be a veritable bargain at the moment, prices for private sales of the base 2.0L car with average mileage and a few options are now around £28-30k.  Think what you
