Title: Car Detailing Products at The Piston Works

Have you ever noticed that online shops selling car detailing products are rather a clinical affair, unusually aimed squarely at those more interested in the process than the vehicle itself.  Well, we're glad to say those days are gone, no longer does the petrolhead find themselves scratching their head wondering the difference between a citrus pre-cleaner and an all purpose cleaner or 'APC'.

Ladies and Gentleman, we introduce The Piston Works Emporium, a brick and mortar chain of stores and online shop dedicated to car detailing and car cleaning products chosen for their performance and practicality aimed squarely at car enthusiasts.  A carefully chosen collection of high quality car cleaning products and detailing brands with clear jargon free explanations of their use and application.

The Piston Works has chosen brands such as Bilt Hamber, ValetPRO, Chemical Guys and Nanolex that are well known for their no-nonsense approach to designing and producing award winning products.  Other brands have been introduced that build on their ethos of not stacking the shelves with white labeled products, but choosing UK brands aimed at making products that simply work and are a pleasure to use.  Brands such as Stjarnagloss and Angelwax

Because The Piston Works Emporium is a brick and mortar store, they are always on hand to speak to you in person.  A visit to the Emporium is a definite must, the comfortable fireside chairs and car related videos playing to entice you in before pursuing the shelves beautifully stocked with all of the car cleaning products clearly on display and accessible, be that accessories such as microfibre towels, wash mitts or polishing pads.  The guys at the Emporium will guide you through how to chose your products with your requirements in mind, whether you're a Porsche Cayman owner or indeed anything from a classic E-Type Jaguar to a brand new Ford Focus.  The Piston Works will ensure you're looked after and enjoy your experience, and one this is for sure, you certainly don't get the same level of service in Halfords!

Remember these guys next time you are stocking up on your Bilt Hamber Snow Foam, Angelwax H2GO or your ValetPRO Bilberry Wheel Cleaner

Advice & gudiance would be extremely welcome - Cayman Gen 1, 3.4 or Cayman Gen 2, 2.9

HI, I am looking to buy a Cayman, my budget is circa £17.5k (i am 50 in 3 weeks , this is a gift to me for me 🙂   I am looking for a 987, my ideal is a gen 2 but i think my budget is tight. If i opt for a gen 1 then it has to be 3.4 as i would only regret it after 3 weeks of purchase (hindsight, wish i had written a book about it).   Simply put any advice, comments on what to look out for would be more than welcome, i have seen these 2 as a starter for 10 but i have that nagg

    Cayman in beige?!

Have you seen this one chaps? It's beige?!   http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202007231589499?atmobcid=soc3   What's that colour called, or is it a customer special order?   Not my taste at all, doesn't show off the curves at all.   Rich

    Latest tyre opinions.....

I know the question of tyre preference will be constantly doing the rounds. So I have read a bunch of posts to help me finalise an opinion. But a few questions remain.    I have a Cayman R with very healthy P Zeros on the front (fitted new in 2018 when I bought the car), but elderly P Zeros on the back that really need changing pretty soon. I have a Porsche warranty that will soon expire, so I am not that bothered about N ratings.    My inclination is to move away from Pirell

  • Cayman Market Watch Q2 2020

Welcome to Q2 of the Cayman Market Watch, our regular feature primarily to provide you with a view of pricing on the Porsche Cayman market.  Aimed at helping those selling or buying to make more informed decisions on price.     Cayman 718      The not so new 4 cylinder turbo car introduced in 2016 seems to be a veritable bargain at the moment, prices for private sales of the base 2.0L car with average mileage and a few options are now around £28-30k.  Think what you
