  • Saved by Zunsport grille!

M6 today and a small UFO flew across lane 2 toward my car in lane three. Disappeared under the car with a thump! A few seconds later I passed a truck carrying logs.   When I reached my destination I found a 4" pointed stave of wood stuck in the l/h rad grille, point first. I wiggled it free and wondered what damage it would have done had it hit the rad. Grille was undamaged too which surprised me as I was doing 60mph.    Looking under the car, the "thump" was the object strik

    Latest tyre opinions.....

I know the question of tyre preference will be constantly doing the rounds. So I have read a bunch of posts to help me finalise an opinion. But a few questions remain.    I have a Cayman R with very healthy P Zeros on the front (fitted new in 2018 when I bought the car), but elderly P Zeros on the back that really need changing pretty soon. I have a Porsche warranty that will soon expire, so I am not that bothered about N ratings.    My inclination is to move away from Pirell

    2-way Radio (walkie-talkie) recommendations

I’m planning a road trip In September to the P.E.N.I.S. 287 in Scotland (Grand Tour, series 3, episode 7) and want a pair of 2-way radios.    Anyone got / used a particular brand and model they can recommend?   Amazon is awash with them from £30-£100 for a pair.    The main players seem to be: motorola midland revetis baofeng ideally I’d like handsfree transmit (Vox) function and useable on the licence free frequencies.    thanks in a

    New tyres - seriously impressed.

So a few months ago I was on the hunt for some new tyres after my existing Eagle F1s had capitulated to the track and road abuse. Having never heard a bad word said about them, I set my sights on some Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Unfortunately, these were unavailable until at least the 10th May, and my back up choice of Michelin Cup 2s were also unavailable. This was pretty frustrating because I had a trip to the Nurburgring in the diary and needed some fresh rubber ASAP.   After havi

    DIY Adjustable Toe Links

After my original toe links (or more accurately the eccentrics and their clips) fell prey to a ham fisted wheel alignment "specialist" I figured that I may as well take the opportunity to upgrade to adjustable toe links. There are various aftermarket options out there but they tend to be quite pricey (£300+) for what is actually a fairly simple part. So in true Blue Peter style I made my own (well actually researched, bought, and then assembled the parts to make my own).   https://phot

Welcome to Q2 of the Cayman Market Watch, our regular feature primarily to provide you with a view of pricing on the Porsche Cayman market.  Aimed at helping those selling or buying to make more informed decisions on price.     Cayman 718      The not so new 4 cylinder turbo car introduced in 2016 seems to be a veritable bargain at the moment, prices for private sales of the base 2.0L car with average mileage and a few options are now around £28-30k.  Think what you
