  • Engine compartment fan failure warning

Posted here as suspect it’s relevant to all models of Cayman, but this is on my 987.2 CS.    since Friday last week I’ve had a dash warning repeatedly come up (in the main info area in the Rev gauge) stating, ‘engine compartment fan failure’, and then the red light at the far right of the engine water temp gauge flashes at ~1hz.   this light (flashing at different rates, or on solid) indicates different faults. The ~1hz flash is that the engine compartment is too warm (ie that the

Simply Porsche, 7th June Beaulieu 2020...spot reserved

Hi all, and a happy new year. Off the back of a recent post, I emailed Beaulieu to see if COC was already booked in. We weren't..... but we are now!   I've asked for the church ruins corner that we've used in recent years, space for circa 10 cars, so one to lock into the diary!   We can sort out banners and other logistical gubbins closer to the time I assume,.   Cheers Craig

    PSE issues - 987.2S

Becoming a little ‘teased’ by the car - just spent £2.5k on her for servicing and cosmetics refresh and first of all she throws up engine compartment fan warnings (see other post), and now the PSE seems to have failed to permanently on (not necessarily a bad state of affairs 😉😁).    symptoms: 1) day 1 - raspy-rattle from exhaust after start up that went if PSE engaged 2) day 2 (after ~150 miles of spirited Ayrshire coast road blasting) - no apparent PSE ‘off’ functionality.  3

Recommendation for Daytona Coachworx - Stevenage

Whilst my 987CS was having service works done at Porschacare I also had the wheels fully stripped, refurbished, repainted and g-techiq C5 coated by David at Daytona Coachworx in Todd’s Green near stevenage - they always seem to have Porches in and work closely with Porschacare just opposite them (see my other posts about Porschacare 👍🏻).    https://www.daytonacoachworx.co.uk/   the wheels (19” Carrera S) were previously Basalt black faced, with the ‘primer grey’ internal barrels an

    Window whistle

Hi all My Cayman is suffering from another common issue I believe - wind noise eminating from the passenger window above 40mph. I've done some googling and it seems most people think it comes from the either the wing mirror or the window seal. Going to have a look at this at the weekend and just wondered if anyone else had experienced it and/or had any advice? Cheers

  • 718 Cayman now available on your games console!

Well finally it’s arrived, you can now drive your favourite car whilst your P&J is tucked up in the garage.  Yes that’s right folks, on your games console (probably Xbox only).     Forza Horizon 4 has released screen shots of the latest edition to the game in the shape of a 718 GTS, looking pretty true to real life.       We look forward to hearing how it compares to the real thing and whether it’s been a faithful reproduction of the real thing.     Let us k
