Popular Post Leo31291
Hello, should have joined this place a long time ago! Had my Cayman S since December 2016 as a daily driver and it's been a great 3 years and 15k miles (now just sitting under 60,000), I'll never forget the day I drove it home from Coventry to London. Big upgrade from a VW Polo! It's getting expensive to run in my circumstances so might end up placing an ad in the classifieds eventually but I look forward to mingling with the community! Kept standard apart from head unit upgrade and front grilles. Was looking at the short shifter but I grew to love the long throw action. Last month it sprang a misfire on cylinder 5. So did a minor service and changed all spark plugs and coil packs. Needs some more maintenance in the coming weeks, corroded exhaust (carnewal time!?) and left coolant pipe needs addressing. Having it in black got me seriously into detailing Right side Coolant pipe change has been the biggest job since I've had it. Very difficult not to take photos of it parked up during that first year. It's second home!
sevenfourate
Good Evening and Welcome aboard Leo. Bought yours 3 years ago now. Still Congrats i reckon !! And makes you feel special to this day i bet..... I've driven my friends with Carnewal fitted (Previous owner to him went over and had it fitted). And the sound was spot-on. Loud enough when on full-chat to tell you its a 6-pot Porsche. And meaningfully more purposeful at tickover too. But not loud enough to let anyone else know if your sensible with the loud-pedal if you need to blend-in a little more. A worthy upgrade i'd say..... Enjoy your stay 🙂
Ben
+1 on the Carenwal exhaust, and I recommend the trip to Gert's place in Belgium to be fitted by the man himself!
Leo31291
Yeah sounds like a no brainer. Heard lots of positive reviews. Gonna need to get the offside coolant crossover pipes replaced first though in January 😣
