New Max Performance Tyres for 18 inch Wheels Available - Bridgestone Potenza Sport

Hello all,

 

Thought I would call this to the attention of all those looking at their options for tyres on 18 inch wheels.

 

The Michelin PS4S is generally considered the best all round tyre available for the Cayman, but like other 'Max Performance' tyres, it is not available in the 18 inch sized that the 987 takes. This new tyre (2021) from Bridgestone is in the same 'max performance' category as the PS4S and is available in the magic 235/40/18 and 265/40/18 sizes.

 

Also, it has fared well in the 2 tests it's been in so far, beating the PS4S in one and coming 2nd in the other: https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre/Bridgestone/Potenza-Sport.htm

 

This was brought to my attention when watching the below:

 

The one main caveat from the video seems to be that wear is as yet un-proven, but performance seems to be strong so far.
