YIL65
Afternoon all, First post here as I'm a newbie here looking to buy my first Porsche. I am going to view a few cars this weekend and for reference I'm looking at a 987.2. I am keen to check the over revs for the vehicles I'm potentially buying but need to buy the kit in order to do it. I've got a bluetooth OBDII and an app on my phone at the moment but that doens't seem to cut it when it comes to checking DME & over revs. Doing some research I know Durametric offer a solution and also the Foxwell NT530 seems to be a candidate too. Does anyone know of any others or have any recommendations? Thanks!
Aaron
I wouldn't bother checking the type-based over revs... The service history will be far more important. Every manual car will have hit the limiter at some point.
SarlechS
agreed its not really indicative of the condition or maintenance of the vehicle. Much better to look at how well its been maintained.
