Popular Post vegan_porsche_driver
Enthusiast-owned guards red first generation 987 Cayman S with tan leather interior, South Hertfordshire. 66k miles. Priced at £17,500 on other sites to allow for negotiation. Would take less if you mention the COC! This is a very rare and sought-after colour combo, I always get positive comments at club meets etc. Nice touches include the extended leather dash, and Porsche crest headrests. Everything else in the car is fairly standard options-wise. The car is on a private plate currently, that will be removed, it would be sold on DK06 FKO. This car has been exceptionally well maintained, I have bags of receipts for work done by me and the previous owner (pics on request). I've spent over £6k on maintenance in the last year, if you know about these cars then you'll appreciate they're expensive to run but that is all money that you won't have to spend anytime soon, because I already have! The two biggest issues with these cars are the IMS bearing and bore score. Mine had the IMS checked and re-sealed in March 2021. It also has a low temp thermostat fitted by the previous owner, and had a full coolant system refresh with all pipes including coolant crossovers replaced, also in March 2021, which is the number 1 way to protect against bore score. Few cars will come with that peace of mind. It's also had various other bits and bats, including some new suspension parts in February 2022. It comes with full service history, last proper service (intermediate) in March 2021, next service (major) due in March 2023. It had an oil service (which lots of people would claim is a minor service, but it is not on a Porsche!) in February 2022 (regular oil changes also protect against bore score and IMS failure). Last MOT was July 2021, no advisories. The two rear tyres have done about 5k miles so plenty left. The fronts are getting low and need changing soon. Michelin PS2 all round currently. Brake discs and pads are all around 40% so plenty miles left, probably due for replacing at the next service. This one was registered before the vehicle tax changes in 2006, so annual tax is only £340 instead of £550 despite being no different to any other 987.1S. Bonus! If you want more information please email me, I can send photos of maintenance receipts, videos from mechanic exams, all sorts. The photos on this ad are from when I last did a full detail myself (I only had wash it personally) the car does currently need a wash that I haven't had a chance to do, I can send photos of how it looks right now as well (the same but dirtier!) For a 16 year old car it's in excellent condition, it has the usual stone chips on the exterior, and there are a few minor marks on the interior, but it scrubs up fantastically as you can see from the photos. I'm selling because I've just had a baby (hence no time to wash!) and this only has 2 seats. Please email rather than call/message as my phone is permanently on silent and I'm awake/asleep at strange times at the moment. Viewings welcome, I won't discuss price until you've physically seen the car, but negotiation may be possible, especially if you quote the COC! Pre-purchase Inspections are welcome, but I have rules: you pay for it yourself, it's within a reasonable distance to my home, it's at a recognised specialist venue (not your mate Bob poking around the engine) AND it is the last point before sale. You come see the car, you like it, you make an offer, I accept your offer subject to inspection. We then meet, the inspection happens, and you either complete the purchase at the agreed price, or you don't. If you don't want to pay for an inspection, I'm happy to give the details of my Porsche specialist to serious buyers, he has agreed to speak on the phone to you about the car. He's a reputable mechanic, he'll tell you what he knows and be honest about what he doesn't, you can do with that information what you like. I think that's all the important stuff covered. Comes with two keys, log book, original owners manuals etc. 3 owners before me. and.rs1800
That looks lovely-I’m not a huge fan of the desert storm interior, but it does look better on a red or blue car imho. When I first bought my guards red cayman I thought It was VERY red, wasn’t too sure on the colour, now I love it!! Only colour I’d rather have is speed yellow lol Good luck with the sale, looks a lovely car.

Totally agree about speed yellow, though I think that suits 981s better. Thanks!
