futureechos
Due for a service in Sep '22, Currently 65K miles, 2011 so by my reckoning this will be the 10 year/100K service. I've done my own Oil change in Dec as prefer annual change (owned since Nov '21). In Sep 20 @ 59K miles Service history shows: 'Maintenance', Spark plugs & Brake Fluid - Done 'Intermediate Maintenance', Drive Belt change - Not Done The Question: Whilst I could service myself I think FPSH will help keep value so I'm probably going to do that but should I stick with Porsche Main dealer, or go to an Indy? Planning on keeping the car for a while yet Can anyone recommend either a Porsche Main dealer OR a good Porsche Indy in Kent / SE London area? thanks Mark
jc848
Highly recommend phoning around the OPC’s as some will price match. In my experience Porsche Centre Tonbridge and South London are good to deal with
Julian987
https://www.nineexcellence.com/ about 40 mins from you. They are the most well regarded Indie that side of London. endorsement https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=983391

Planning on keeping the car for a while yet I assume that the car has full OPC history so far? If you are keeping the car for some time yet then I think it will cost you more going OPC than the negligible amount of value gained compared with using a reputable specialist when it comes to selling. Yep - FPSH to date. 2 Quotes in so far - reputable specialist is quite a bit cheaper than my nearest Official Porsche Centre (and no they don't price match). Feels like a no brainer at the moment. Specialist also can include a gearbox oil change and still be far cheaper than OPC, and do a courtesy car. Which was nice... 🙂
iSPY
I use Parr in Crawley for my R and have done for my 3 previous Porsches www.parr-uk.com or 01293 537911
Porschaholic
I truly feel that a good indie will look after a 987 better than an OPC. Even if the cost were the same, I’d go to the independent.
WSXCayman
They're not in Kent but Mortimer's in Billingshurst, West Sussex are very well respected. And being in West Sussex it's a good excuse for a slightly further drive out.
CarreraClassic
I'm booked in at LaRose near Sevenoaks soon for a major service (+drive belt, brake fluid, spark plugs). I've only been to them once before but came away happy. They're right next to a train station and open at 7:30, so you can drive out of London, drop the car, and get back in time for work. Prices seem on a par with other SE indies like ePorsch and GTOne, DM me if you'd like to see the estimate I got for the above work.

They also leant me a courtesy car too. Pretty happy.

I see 9e opens Saturday mornings too, which could be handy for collecting ... prices seem to be in the same ballpark also, I may check them out next time. For the record, can't fault La Rose, I was given a very thorough checklist of everything they went through on the service and any potential problems flagged up. Nice people too.
