Kai
Hello gang i intend to use my 2007 Cayman S to the full and that includes hillclimbs and track days. Hillclimbs are no problem but I have read that the earlier cars (like mine) suffer from having just two oil pick ups which could cause oil starvation on track. What at is the preventative measure to take? Baffled sump? Additional feeds? thanks in advance Kai
Founder Beanoir™ Posted July 5, 2016 Founder Share Posted July 5, 2016 Could go the Accusump route, I've heard of guys fitting different pumps and all sorts though. It will depend on how hard you drive the car though, a lot of Caymans will be tracked in standard internals and not have any issues. If you're going to be using slicks then this can make it more likely to suffer with oil starvation.
Kai
Thanks - I'll look into the accusump option I won't be going slicks but I don't want to take any chances... Kai
