exhaust drone

hi,

 

so my car came with a cat back aftermarket exhaust when i bought it and it has an annoying drone mainly between 2k-3k revs,sounds great above 3k revs.

is there anything other than change it to remove the drone?

Do you know what exhaust has been fitted, and have the CATs been removed at all?

If the drone is too much then changing the exhaust is often the only option, unless it is a custom system that can be taken back to whoever made it (Longlife, Powerflow etc) and they may be able to change the silencer type.

it has the front cats but no rear cats.no idea who made the exhaust.
