Hi guys,

I am looking at a couple of performance upgrades that won't cost the earth. One of the origanals that seem popular is the IPD plenum with 82mm throttle for the 987.1. Does this provide a noticeable upgrade? £970 from Design911 plus fitting and a remap is not cheap for 10% increase.

As a new I do not have permissions create posts in the wanted section, do many of these come up 2nd hand and what kind of price?

Thanks

Unless your car has a freer flowing exhaust and cats then it's probably a waste of money doing the intake and remap at this stage. From what I am told the extra power in these engines is mainly released from exhaust and cats then work back from there.

although ive never done it you can buy a bosch 82mm throttle body for £116 from autodoc part no 99760511601

and a 911 intake/plenum for 55 euros from rose passion part no 99711041603

youtuber oval bore did this on his boxster.

hope that helps

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.

I did purchase the 82mm throttle body (99760511601) as I thought either way for the suggested setup or IPD I would still need that.

Currently, I haven't ordered the 911 intake until speaking with the Porsche specialist as I would have him fit it anyway.
