Looks good, the stock radio is appalling.

as an aside question does anyone know the dimensions of the sound package plus amp under the pax seat? I don't want to take it out until really but I'd like to know what you can fit in its place...

I thought the sound system plus amp was in the front boot compartment, it is in mine

The optical cables are pre-wiring for a CD changer in the boot, and for the screen in the dials to display the current track. Had a s**t-myself moment too when fitting my head unit.

Ok Mike3105, so optical inputs not required in my case then ( no cd changer in boot)  no need to connect the optical inputs to the MOST adapter then to Dynavin etc.

Imo you will hear a noticeable increase in sound quality by fitting decent component speakers (can't go wrong with either Hertz/Infinity/Polk/Focal)

However, don't compromise the installation of quality speakers by using the stock cabling! ... OFC/02 free is a must imo :35_thinking:

👍

Might even consider looking into changing amp in frunk, May as well go the whole hog so to speak
