Cito
Hi guys, i found on eBay a leather steering wheel with the controls for the radio. In theory should be ok for my Cayman, but do you have an idea if I can use these commands for the radio? At the moment I’ve got the cdr30 but I’m thinking to change it with an after market one (possibly a Kenwood). https://www.ebay.it/itm/Genuine-Porsche-997-Carrera-987-Boxster-Cayman-Black-Leather-PDK-Steering-Wheel/192817663114?_mwBanner=1&ul_ref=https%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F0%2Fe11051.m43.l1123%2F7%3Feuid%3Dd41bb5c6e0ae460db154b1414eff0d32%26bu%3D43091274450%26loc%3Dhttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.it%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F192817663114%26sojTags%3Dbu%3Dbu%26srcrot%3De11051.m43.l1123%26rvr_id%3D0%26rvr_ts%3D47d0e2821690ac1921b5b25bffdb86e2&ul_noapp=true&pageci=e8fd0ce7-b34b-4ace-8b8c-0ddc183d04e1 cheers, Andrea Edited March 4, 2019 by Cito
GlosRich
Probably find your local independent specialist and have a chat with them about it. Quite a few around Oxford, notably Autofarm.
987Monkey
You might need to install the correct wiring harness to control the CDR30 still - and then if you added a Kenwood HU, you'd need another adaptor on top of that for the steering wheel controls. It's all achievable but a bit of a pain.

anon_uk
Careful which cable you use. aftermarket needs an adapter to fibre. Also, with some cheaper cables you may not have reverse sensors audio.
