Thule Roof Bars any good for Cayman (987)?

Hello,

 

Does anyone know if Thule Porsche Series 92000 2-door coupe roof bars (which is a category that doesn't include the Cayman I suspect)  go on a 987.2 Cayman? Seems there are six to choose from, from Option A to Option F, all under £300. Whereas the Porsche-made Roof Transport System I'm seeing at £650.

I've been wondering this too. On Thule's website below you can use the 'Select your vehicle' tool. I navigated to Porsche -> Year -> 2010 -> '900-Series 2-dr Coupe 2000-2011'

Question is: does '900-Series' mean 911 or 996/997/986/987?

 

Could always buy and send back if it doesn't fit.

Hey. Yeah, I have a feeling 900 series or 92000 doesn't include Caymans. True one can buy and try. I read somewhere that the Thule is 'not perfect' for a Cayman but can be used??

Got the following reply from Thule:

 

'The Kit is designed to fit on the 900 series different versions that all share the same basic design, 911 and 990 models. The 987 Cayman is a different version of the design and related to the boxter and the Kit is not designed to fit on the car.'

 

So it's a no.
