briggy
As per title - what is the torque value for the oil drain plug? Car is a Gen2 S. Gen1 seems to be 50Nm, so I wonder if it's the same? Better still, is there a technical document / manual I can look this kind of thing up for myself? Cheers, Bryan
SpannerMan
50nm is about 37ftlb. So basically that's what would be described as 'nipped up' with a standard wrench. A drain plug is not a part that needs a specific accurate load like say a head bolt or manifold nut, it just needs to be done up. 50nm is fine and you won't strip anything on a Porsche sump or drain plug with that level of torque, nor will it work loose or leak.
