borrow an obd2 scanner to identify the fault. I get one every couple of weeks if I get caught in slow traffic. the fault is always a warm up catalyst threshold too low which is probably a dying lambda sensor or clogged up cat. Porsches unlike most german cars don't rack up faults that will eventually put the ecu into limp home mode. the obd scanner will clear low level faults like this.

An OBD scanner is a good buy, you can pick them up for the price of a pint (London prices) on that auction site. Saved
