Windymiller
A Porsche only day arranged every year for the past 18/19 years by a couple of guys on the PCGB RS register. I went this year and it was a brilliant event - a really good atmosphere and sense of camaraderie. Was great to watch 6 Cayman Rs all playing together (every time they overtook me - I was captain slow as it was my first track event in the CS). Its not just for ‘classic’ RS cars, all Porsche models welcomed - there was even a 911 cup car doing shakedowns on the day with a full race support team. Will be advertised openly on MSVTs website in the next few weeks. Pre-sale places available now to previous years participants. ???????

Windymiller
Im already booked on it ??? It was a fantastic day this year, a great ‘opener’ to the ‘season’ - much needed after a winter hibernation ?. I stayed in a nearby hotel the night before, which I’ll do again for 2019 as it takes 3 hrs or so to drive there from mine. Only concern this year was the beast from the east snow storms which just about melted away a day or 2 before the event. We seem to get snow later these days - ie Feb / March. But if the track is unable to open / operate due to conditions like snow you get a refund in the form of MSVT vouchers for an alternative track day. ?❄️⛄️??

Popular Post Windymiller
This was a great day this year, despite the changing weather (sunny morning on a damp and greasy track, pishy-wet rainy afternoon), the rain deterring many of the GT owners from being on track in the avo on their sport cup 2 tyres, whereas my standard Goodyear eagles dealt with the rain handsomely. Usual great feelig of cameraderie and esprit d’ corps, and all very polite driving - lots of space on overtakes, patience by the faster drivers to get past us slower ones on the straights. A great range of porkers and always good to see some classic 964 RS’s geeting an ‘energetic’ outing, also quite a few cup cars using the day for shakedowns - makes you realise how pedestrian your own car and driving skills are when those things shoot past in a blur of colour and noise 😁🏎🏎🏎👍🏻 Felt sorry for CR owner Kevin (not sure if he’s on here) who had a nearside incursion with the barrier between the clay Hill and druids corners - front nearside wing, rear bumper, rear light cluster and 2 (very nice) OZ ultraleggaro wheels trashed sadly 🙁 no damage to driver though, and that’s the most important component 👍🏻 175 track miles (about 70 laps) done in 6-7 sessions of 10-12 laps at a time. Car was was a trooper all day, and the simple upgrade to stainless steel braded brake hoses and ATE Typ200 fluid meant no fade at all - though clearly I’m not driving quick enough....🤔😉😁 Now counting down the days to Anglesey in May.....
Mavrik
I did a "Porsche Only" day at Brands with 911.UK in August... There were still plenty of spaces on the day too... I was in awe of quite a few GT3 RS's 😵 My CS held its own however ( was quite surprised that a few drivers there seemingly forgot they were at a race circuit & were taking the corners at Paddock, Druids & Clearways like they were off to do their shopping!! 😳) I did get a tad over zealous in the 1st session & lost the rear going into Druids (too much trail braking) 😄 Edited March 20, 2019 by Mavrik
