Popular Post TritonII
Apologies for the delay in an update...…... I finally picked up the car on Friday and then grinned all the way home on a four hour drive...…. the car is stunning. I have tried to upload a picture but the file size is too large and I don't use any picture hosting sites so not sure how I will get around this at the moment. It is an 06 Cayman S in midnight blue. Modified by Pie Performance Tuning with uprated and lowered suspension, GT3 throttle body, lightened flywheel and mill tec exhaust prior to remap and Oz lightweight racing wheels. It is a very stiff ride reflecting it's performance set up and handles like a dream, so positive. I opted to have cruise control retrofitted before collection to assist retention of my license on the drive home. Haven't stopped smiling yet and the sound and power during acceleration is totally addictive. Thanks to you all for your inspiration and input.
Windymiller
Good for you, hope you have many miles of happy motoring in her. cant wait to see a photo, perhaps save an image in a lower res to reduce file size? now you can fit your desnork grille too 😉😁

The de-snork is an interesting question. With the mods already done on my car and remap increasing to circa 330bhp I asked the modifier why it hadn't been de-snorked or had after market air filter fitted and whether there was any reason why I shouldn't do that. They replied in their opinion that there would be no benefit as it wouldn't change the volume of air through the air mass meter so unless modifying that then no point. I've not really had chance yet to investigate that response versus other opinions and at the same time the car goes like stink so not really a concern to me either way at this stage. Still learning about the car and lots of little tidying jobs I would like to do so plenty to keep me occupied. I will try and get a picture up soon.
