Hi new to the forum, just finished the thread (all 43 pages).

keen to get the forums view on this coronation soup:

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202210030376606

The combination of its price and service history are the challenge.  If you have no intention of reselling and plan on running it into the ground, it could be a great financial play.

Non-specialist or OPC servicing is pretty frowned upon.  As you can tell by how long the car has been listed.  Tip that you can use the URL to understand when it was listed.  The first 8 digits are a UTC format date: YYYYMMDD.  In this case it's 20221003.

Thanks Aaron, that is a great tip along with the tip to view “unlisted” adverts to show adverts that were not created correctly.

The time warp one, only 500 odd miles from new, sold for over £30K with commission fees - amazing the mileage, doubt anything beats that mileage wise again.

...though it only ever had two services in 16 years!

There are hardly any gen IIs on the market right now are there? Anyone know why that is?

Back in 2021 when I bought mine he market seemed a bit more alive.

Have prices dipped so less selling? Or is this recession symptoms? Who knows.

My 3.4S just hit 92k so it’s starting to get to crunch point…sell on or keep for the long run.

A quick look on Autotrader alone shows over 60 Gen. 2 cars so not sure why you think there are hardly any for sale.  😕

There are a distinct lack of top notch ones available for sure. Plenty run of the mill ones.

This one reads good

with the +10 BHP kit which seems interesting and rare.

I agree, at 92K miles it could be wise trading in for a lower mileage one. You might get a better deal as a trade in once you see what you like rather than sell privately, maybe?

Yep, sorry, I’m talking gen 2 3.4S models! Like mine. Not many of those about.

Julian, you reckon trade-in is the best bet? Hoping privately it will have still retained most of its value.

Well I figured if you find a lower mileage Gen2S that you like at a dealers then a trade in could work to your advantage, but yep who knows! Good luck with your search!

911uk usually has a few Caymans for sale, if you decide that a Gen 2 (2.9) is an option give me a shout.

Thanks chaps! Will bookmark these. That said this one came up last night looks good, have requested a video https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202305167446349

I think that is the same as the one for sale that was listed a week ago in this thread. Might save yourself some money going direct to the seller rather than what could be a SOR situation.

Already sold!

doesn't surprise me during a drought on good Gen 2's coupled with Black Editions being rarer than R's to come to market by a long way.

Anyone info on your 2.9?

I am in the market for one (cheaper high mileage one)

If it matches that then let me know as I could be interested :)
