Windymiller
Close call - good to have caught them before they totally failed and left you roadside without coolant! 👍🏻

Porschaholic
I’ve heard this is a common problem. I’ve got mine booked in for replacements in March.

They start leaking almost without exception around the 10year point - damn clever engineering from Porsche that to get such failure rate consistency across a whole model range… 🙄 A ‘typical’ replacement cost from an Indy should be around £650 for total refit of all front crossover pipes and hoses, incl. re geo after dropping sub frame to access the pipes etc.

Spykee
Mine were in a similar condition to yours when I had them replaced last year. My specialist said that I hold the record for the most deteriorated pipes that still held coolant! 😆

Where in South Wales are you? If you're on Facebook there's a South Wales Porsche Owners group where I've arranged a coffee and cars next month.
