Ian Jones
Hi All Just got my R a few weeks ago and it has an annoying rattle from the rear bumper where there is a blank for where the Cayman S electronic spoiler normally fits! Is there an easy way to fix this or is it a bumper off job?
Founder Beanoir™ Posted January 10, 2018 Founder Share Posted January 10, 2018 That’s an unusual one... Do you mean the long/wide blanking plate across the top of the S spoiler location that fits flush against the lip of the boot hatch?
Mk1
Welcome ... Is it audible when mobile and / or when manipulating the part by hand ? Also ... Could it be the hatch or `if fitted` the luggage blind ? For the hatch ... try adjusting the rubber `bump` stops, they `screw in - out`. For the cover ... remove / replace. It’s the false spoiler- blank that rattles if you tap it... an yes audible when driving cheers
Aaron
Shouldn't rattle at all. Mine is solid. Sounds like it's loose or the mounting mechanism is damaged. I've never removed it so not sure what more advice I can give, I'm afraid.
