twopointnine
I’ve never used one of those silicone squeegees, after washing the car, to remove water prior to drying with a Microfibre towel - should I continue to avoid using one or should I buy myself one? Windymiller
Never ever use a squeegee (for anything other than wiping down your shower cubicle) they are the work of Satan himself and dreamt up by lazy car washers who care not a jot about their pride and joys paintwork. (IMHO - happy to hear otherwise).
Bushman
I use one, but only after cleaning on paintwork before a microfiber towelling. I do use it regularly on glass though, normally on a damp morning to wipe excess away from rear and sides.

NWDetailing
Blow Drying or Microfiber is alot better and safer.
NWDetailing
If you really are to use a squeegee though, Make sure its the type thats a T bar not a flat blade, These are way less damaging.
twopointnine
I think I’ll steer well clear of the squeegee and continue with my Microfibre drying towels - but I need to clean them in the correct fluid as washing them in the washing machine has made them go a bit hard. Either Microfiber wash. Or i just use normal washing liquid, Just no fabric softener.

Its also great for goretex and Event waterproof fabrics and way cheaper than the ‘specialist’ nikwax ‘technical wash’ stuff ?
