Cito
Guys, a month ago, when a brought home my Cayman, it was raining quite a lot and I noticed that into the headlights there was some condensation. I did call the dealer to explain this and he replied that is not a considered a defect because it seems it is a problem that even the newer cars (even 2017 models) have got, so they can't do anything. What's your thought about that? Cheers, Andrea
GlosRich
A lot of cars have it this time of year, with it being very damp and cold at night and then warm in the day. That's not excessive, but if it gets a lot worse, with big droplets inside, then the seal has failed on the light, and really the seller should do something about it, as it is a safety item, and probably an MoT fail when its excessive. If it gets worse, ask again nicely, then replace it yourself and then small claims court. £460! ouch https://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod1375/Headlamp-Porsche-Boxster-987---Cayman-987C_2_2_2_2/
Founder Beanoir™ Posted February 28, 2019 Founder Share Posted February 28, 2019 My brand new BMW does this, as did the last one. It clears once the lights are turned on and it warms up.

Hi Behanoir, I thought that would be the case, but the condensation in the picture is after an hour and a half of motorway, so it should have been cleared.... Aaron
Condensation in a light is not normal. It's not something I would accept, personally. Get the dealer to sort it. It doesn't matter if it's covered by their warranty policy or not.
