Popular Post sevenfourate
Not for me 🤣 At the very least the Cayman 987 i've bought today - and should be collecting next weekend almost feels like a slightly grown-up hot-hatch. Grabbing it by the throat and wringing its neck is what makes it feel alive ? Tell me i'm wrong......in that these are pretty much no frills drivers cars ? Very pleased to be here and learn a little about these cars. Serial detailer, completely anal about my vehicles and likely to bore you all with my pictures of shinyness and tales of OTT attention to detail. So: 2007 Base 2.7 987.1, 46k, very tidy indeed, 2 owners with full history, recent £900 major service and 6 months warranty. Should be 'add fuel only' for a while. Potentially 😉 The journey begins........
Popular Post Tozerman
Hi from me. I also have a 987.1 2.7. I bought it because it is a brilliant drivers car and a lot more refined than my S2000 ever was. Feels more solid and indeed does need to be driven by the scruff of it's neck so to speak.
GlosRich
Hi and welcome. Not sure I'd call it a 'no frills drivers car'. its not a Caterham. I like how you can drive it hard, but then settle into a refined cruise on the way home after your track day. Just check your suspension has been maintained, as they get older they need bushes and arms replacing, if you get any knocking noises get it back under warranty. Also the aircon condensors int he front grilles can get pierced by stones and leak, so a set of Zunsport grilles are worthwhile. https://www.carnoisseur.com/products/details/zunsport-outer-grille-set-to-fit-porsche-cayman-zpr20405 Enjoy.
