We have an Audi A3 Sportback diesel manual for much the same reasons, although the new addition means two dogs will be more of a squeeze... My brother in law ran two cars for a long time... Audi A6 avant for load carrying, plus, in order (if I recall correctly) Cayman 987, 996, 997, V8 Vantage, TTS (?). He then came to the conclusion he could combine load carrying with a sporty Porsche (the 997 C2 was his all time favourite car) and recently bought a Macan SD, like you. After what started out as a few sociable drinks watching the horse racing became a lot of alcohol it would be stupid for either of us to get behind the wheel.
