Popular Post trialsstar3
Hello all, just thought I'd see whats the best MPG others are seeing on their Caymans. I've done several long runs recently and done the old fill to the brim, recorded mileage on an app and fill to the brim again. Mines a 2006 2.7 really happy with 41.5 MPG, thats cruise control set at 70 MPH.
Windymiller
41.5! That is insane! (But good 👍🏻). Without cruise control on my (now gone but never forgotten 😢) 987.2 S if I tried to maintain a steady speed around 69-71 on the M-way I could average 33mpg (on Shell V-power). And once once on Esso synergy supreme I returned 35mpg, and I thought that was fantastic.
Neil_jdmr
I can do an easy 36mpg on a motorway around 75mph. The pdk 7th gear is made for these runs

I get around 39mpg cruising at 70 provided the motorway is flat. I barely get 22-24mpg driving around where I live though...
Windymiller
Wow, the 7th ratio in PDKs makes such a difference. 70mph in the 6th in the manual gen 2 3.4 was around 2900rpm. 😯
