Popular Post projectcayman Posted June 26, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 26, 2023 Hi - I’ve just joined the club and wanted to introduce myself! Better late than never with joining - I’ve had my 987 Cayman S for coming up five years now! Still love it. It’s OEM+ with some careful tweaks to suspension, exhaust, interior and stereo etc… I’m also projectcayman on Insta. Based in the Midlands - nice to meet everyone! 4
987Monkey Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Welcome!! Look forward to hearing more about the mods!
Cornholio Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 Nice to hear from you. Likewise, I'm very interested in reading what modifications you've done.
projectcayman Posted June 27, 2023 Author Posted June 27, 2023 Thanks for the welcome! As for mods - only a few bits so far and nothing major yet... But it's a slippery slope. So far: Carnewal GT exhaust, Eibach springs and geo, upgraded brake lines and GT3 brake ducts, changed front fog surrounds, Alcantara (steering wheel, gaitor, knob and handbrake sleeve), double DIN head unit with Carplay, Sqirrl fire extinguisher mount)... Currently debating what lightweight wheels to put on it... but that will need to wait until after Le Mans Classic this coming weekend 🙌

Haven’t been before but looking forward to it. like the mods you’ve done, sure I saw on Instagram 1
projectcayman Posted June 27, 2023 Author Posted June 27, 2023 You’ll love Le Mans Classic - it’s epic. The car parks and car clubs are as great as the racing tbh. Enjoy! Might see you there

We were at Maison Blanche this time, pretty good atmosphere and decent access to the track.
projectcayman Posted July 6, 2023 Author Posted July 6, 2023 Nah, not camping. Had an AirBNB in Le Mans itself so was parked up in normal Ouest parking zone each day. Other than a few showers, it was great again this year
Blissya Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 Le Mans classic was great. Just done a couple of days at Goodwood FOS and unfair to compare the weather, but the campsite cars and the clubs stuff at Le Mans was a different league all together and I think it’s better value 1
projectcayman Posted July 14, 2023 Author Posted July 14, 2023 (edited) Yes, just back from FOS now. It was ace despite the rain all day - but I agree on LM Classic. It’s awesome. The journey back from FOS to Solihull was awful. They are talking about cancelling FOS tomorrow due to the weather ☹️ Edited July 14, 2023 by projectcayman
