Popular Post Bob from Bolton
I am excited to join the CaymanOC and to be able to share my experience with fellow Cayman owners. I have just taken possession of a Cayman 718S. The exterior is GT silver, while the interior has the black/crimson red package. Main options are PDK, sport PASM, sport chrono, tongue vectoring and sport exhaust. Once the Cayman is broken-in I plan to take the car to Palmer Motorsports Park for a track day. I also have a Spec Boxster race car, built on a 1998 base Boxster. It will be interesting to see and measure the differences. Palmer is a new track around 80 miles west of Boston, MA and features 14 turns, over 190" of elevation changes along it's 2.3 miles.lenght. It will be the perfect place to see how well the 718 performs. I visited the UK last August and drove from London to Newbury, then to Oxford, finally to Welwyn before returning to London. The roads were crowded with speed cameras everywhere, not to mention all the roundabouts. Where do you go to unwind your cars? Bob
Founder Beanoir™ Posted April 9, 2017 Founder Share Posted April 9, 2017 Welcome Bob! Area you chose to drive does have a lot of speed cameras! I live just north of Welwyn so spend a vast amount of time avoiding them. The more rural areas of the country are better for avoiding traffic and cameras, Wales is a good place as is the north of Scotland.
