Ian Hughes
Good evening i wondered if anyone could recommend a stainless exhaust to replace my stock item on My Cayman S gen 2.I dont really want a loud system as i am nearly 50 and dont want to look/sound daft, and ideally looking for cat back only. Budget isnt really an issue to be honest just need to be able to live with it really. I was thinking Miltek or EurocupGT does anyone have experience of these or any others please thanks Ian
MarkGTS
Why stainless Ian? What’s the purpose of the upgrade?
Bushman
you can find an unbranded car back stainless system on fleabay for about £650 or a switchable version for about £950. a Miltek runs about £1200. Fabspeed sounds brill but noisy. Jaz at ~Premier tyre and exhaust, shuttleworth road, Bedford will build you a stainless one for between £5-600. Gert at Carnewal does a very good exchange for a modified and de-catted modified stock system as an alternative and has a terrific reputation for his service and workmanship Ive seen various HP claims linked to removing the secondary cats, who needs 4 anyway, but they all seem to point to horsepower gains without causing engine management issues. several posts on this and other sites warn about manifold bolts and studs snapping or stripping when changing exhausts, so beware of this. hope this helps Ian

Equinox
Had mine done at Infinity Exhausts based in Bristol. They build custom stainless exhausts to whatever noise level and style you want. Had a few cars done through them and they transformed my Cayman and nailed exactly the noise I wanted from it. Price wise I think it was around £550 from memory which was for a full exhaust from the precats back (secondary cat delete). They run a lot of events at Castle Combe as a large sponsor there. Not selling or affiliated with them just giving my personal opinion if your based around this part of the world.

Hi, How loud is your exhaust as looking for exhaust for a little more noise but not too loud to make my ears bleed. Dean Ummm its very loud as its straight piped from the precats back. But I asked for it to sound like a gt3 on steroids and they didn't disappoint. They have done lots of other peoples caymans however who just wanted a sportier slightly louder note, I just wanted something that would go with the overall look of the car. Above 4000rpm in a tunnel however is pure noise porn!!
