Dougle_turbo
Hi guys, Currently on the look out for a manual 987.2 Cayman S (or R) in white. Looking forward to becoming an owner and tinkering soon! Cheers. Doug
987Monkey
Got to be an R then surely?!
Dougle_turbo
Got to find the right one first! I haven’t seen the correct spec R for sale in the 3 months I’ve been looking. I got offered a very nice Peridot car, but didn’t love the colour.
Windymiller
What’s you ideal spec? thats quite a price delta between S & R for ‘equivalent’ cars (e.g., age, mileage) - circa 50% ‘premium’ for an R (i.e., £30k vs £45k). Theres a super low mileage metallic grey R on autotrader currently @ £50k https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201809060221294 not white - but what a spec & manual! ?? Dougle_turbo
Ideal spec for the R would be: White or PTS Manual Buckets Aircon Cruise PSE Short shift Realistic ideal spec for the S would be White or PTS Black wheels (pref spyder) black mirrors, black side vents PSE Cruise Dream spec would have aero kit and buckets. I realise there is a big difference in price, but the R looks very special to me so would happily spend the extra. For an S I'd look at spending around £25K. Not too fussed on mileage as I'll be driving the car, and wouldn't want to pay a premium for a garage queen. I wouldn't want to pay £50k for an R, I would be overpaying because I'll put too many miles on it. I'd much rather find a private buyer, so no one gets folded over by the dealers. Only one I’ve ever known of. Otherwise, a white manual with buckets, Climate and PSE isn’t that hard to find. Cruise and Short Shift are easy retrofit options so I’d concentrate on the former items and you then shouldn’t find it too hard at all to find one. Dougle_turbo
Easy to find, they just aren't for sale when I do! The Viper green one is really something else.
