They weren't cheap but I'm very glad I got them! What sort of upgrades was Gert mentioning?

We discussed spacers, particularly as my wheel nuts are corroded so may need replacing. Also the short shift kit, which I'm still keen on. I'm also considering 19" wheels - would be interested to know if people have experience of the pros/cons of that one!

Larger wheels are aesthetically more pleasing to some, I personally found the ride a bit harsher (PASM helped somewhat) on the larger wheels, daresay the lower profile rubber would contribute too. Yes I think it would primarily be an athestic thing for me too, the 19s do seem to fill the arches that little bit better! Having said that I really like the ride currently so wouldn't want to upset that too much.
Dougle_turbo
I've run my car on both 18" Cayman S track day wheels and the Spyder wheels the car came with. I have PASM and the car hasn't been lowered. The difference between the two is very apparent when driven back to back. The 18" wheel offers a substantially better ride IMHO. However I'm still very happy with the ride on the 19's.

Might put this one on the back burner for a while 😊
