is this a 901 before Peugeot forced Porsche to use 11s and not 01s?

Its actually a 1964 build 912. Basically an early SWB 911 with a 356 engine.

Why the 1967 "E" reg if it's 1964?

 

This is one of the first 5 911's sold by Porsche GB, seen at OPC Leics birthday a few weeks ago...

Sorry typo, Nov 66 build, registered Jan 67 hence E Reg. 

 

That 911 is very nice, great colour combo, has the same steel wheels and hubcaps as mine had when stock. They are in storage since I fitted the Fuchs. If its as early as they say, I guess early 1965?

Lovely looking Cayman.  Different wheels but similar to mine.
